Anse du Portier is the rarest thing the Principality can offer: new land. Better known by the name of the district built upon it – Mareterra – it is six hectares reclaimed from the Mediterranean, the most significant extension of Monaco in decades, and a planted, largely pedestrian quarter opened to residents only recently.
